You Haven’t Been Baptized,
Received First Eucharist, or Been Confirmed?
Have We Got an Opportunity for You!
RCIA Ministry Classes Begin on Monday, September 12, 2016
If you are a Catholic who has not yet received the Sacraments of First Eucharist and/or Confirmation, or a non-Catholic who wishes to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Eucharist, and Confirmation), you are invited to participate in our upcoming RCIA Ministry sessions.
The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) Ministry is the process that helps nonCatholic adults learn about our Catholic faith, and prepare to receive the Sacraments of Initiation at the next Easter Vigil (April 15, 2017).
Baptized Catholics will receive instruction that will prepare them for receiving the Sacrament of First Eucharist and/or the Sacrament of Confirmation (Note: the Sacrament of Confirmation for Baptized Catholics will be conferred at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in May, 2017).
Classes are held every Monday night from 7:00-8:30 p.m., beginning on September 12, 2016, and ending in late May.
Please contact Deacon Dennis Gorsuch
(916.984.8550 or firstname.lastname@example.org)
so he may explain the process, answer any questions, and help you get started on your journey of faith.
Reverend Paul McDonnell, O.S.J.
invites you to celebrate the
25th Anniversary of
His Ordination to the Priesthood
Sunday, August 21st, 2016
Shrine of St. Joseph,
Guardian of the Redeemer Santa Cruz, CA
Fr. Paul would like to share this special occasion with all of his St. Joseph Marello friends and family. Our day journey will include bus travel, breakfast en route, and an evening snack on the return trip. We will attend the 11AM Jubilee Mass at the Shrine of St. Joseph, followed by an open reception on the Shrine grounds. Transportation cost, schedule, and details will follow shortly. Please, no gifts. Fr. Paul feels that your presence alone is the only gift he needs! For additional information or questions, contact Carol (carol.carnazzo@gmail. com) or Donna (donna_baxter@msn. com).
Let us sanctify the little things:
a little act of patience or charity
carried out with the right intentions
is of enormous value
in the eyes of God.
